Kabel Deutschland strove to make cable TV more attractive via a new digital TV offering and to establish the new business sector of pay TV.
Together with the management, Solon developed a product strategy and a business and realization plan for the pay TV product Kabel Digital Home. Following the joint decision by the owners and management to adopt the concept, a Solon team supported implementation up to the launch of Kabel Digital Home in September 2004. Only 9 months passed from the start of planning to the marketing launch and after one year over 300,000 new customers had been acquired.
Kabel Digital Home is now the most successful pay TV product in the German market after Sky.
