In preparation for a program to increase margins, a leading Scandinavian cable network operator was looking for best practices.
Using Solon’s comprehensive network of contacts, a panel of five leading cable network operators was created for the purpose of a benchmarking analysis. The analysis was executed based on a detailed questionnaire that covered all important cost positions and their drivers: product expenses, human resources, network, marketing & sales, customer care and investments. The completion of the questionnaires was accompanied by numerous discussions and interviews.
The result of the project was the creation of individualized presentations that, aside from detailed analyses for each participant, suggested concrete opportunities for improvement. The continued exchange between panel participants was supported by round-table discussions for various topics, such as Churn Management.
